Chrome 100 is a web browser developed by Google Inc, available for download in full install version for Windows platforms from legacy sources. This version of Chrome was officially released on 2022-03-29 for public access and a brief summary of important updates and change log pertaining to this edition can be read below.

Google Chrome 100.0.4896.60 was built on Blink 100 layout engine using JavaScript V10 engine version 10.0.139. This version is released for Windows, iOS and android platforms and has many functionality additions apart from number of fixes and improvements. Below are the common updates to this edition irrespective of the platform. 

1. Online Safety Check: Now users can run instant safety check of their online safety by couple of clicks which can run check for browser updates, weak passwords stored in the browser, harmful extensions if anything is active, and even harmful software if anything is present in your device.  
2. Enhanced Safe Browsing: Chrome offers 3 levels of the protection mode namely No, Protection, Standard Protection and Enhanced protection.  By default standard protection is enabled, however users can opt for enhanced protection. Opting for enhanced protection comes at the cost of the sending your data to google, however it protects the user from dangerous websites, downloads and extensions and password breaches.
3. Control Website Access To Device: Now you can control the websites accessing to your device controls including location, microphone and permissions.

Android Edition Changes

• Lite Mode Removed: Chrome has developed modern technologies to reduce data usage on mobile devices using the browser and now Lite mode is no more supported.
• Chrome Actions: Ability to manage tasks from the address bar like clear browsing data, opening incognito tab and password management has been introduce which was earlier available only in the desktop mode.
  
• Login by QRCode: Android phone can be used as a security key by QR Code scan, requires bluetooth to show proximity
  

• Screen Sharing Fix: Version 99.0.4844.83 includes a fix for the screen/window sharing permission bug. However, if your organization manages macOS with an MDM, additional steps may be required to restore Google Chrome’s ability to capture the screen or other applications’ windows.
