Chrome 103 is a web browser developed by Google Inc, available for download in full install version for Windows platforms from legacy sources. This version of Chrome was officially released on 2022-06-21 for public access and a brief summary of important updates and change log pertaining to this edition can be read below.

Google Chrome 103.0.5060.53 was built on Blink 103 layout engine using JavaScript V10 engine version 10.3.174. This version is released for Windows, iOS and android platforms and has many functionality additions apart from number of fixes and improvements. 

• Speed up with HTTP 103:  With introduction of HTTP 103 status code Chrome can preload  pages even before clicking a link which can dramatically make the browser faster by few milliseconds. This prerendering technology do not execute Javascripts and other rendering scripts which eventually lead to fewer memory usage against old prerendering technology where the memory consumption was almost doubled.
  
• Local Font Access API: This API power up the web apps to utilize the fonts installed in user's local devices. However users have to give explicit permissions to activate the feature. The font table access API will let a web app get access to a local font's table data to allow interacting with the fonts in a way that doesn't require these workarounds.
• Permitted Webshare .avif: Adding avif to the other allowed image file types will help spread the use of it. 
• AbortSignal.timeout(): It is an easier way to implement timeouts on asynchronous APIs. Returns a new AbortSignal object that is automatically aborted after a given number of milliseconds.
• Misc Changes: There are couple of changes which is notable in this edition includes

1. Blocked external protocol in sandboxed iframes
2. Removal of Battery Status API on insecure origins 
3. Element.isVisible() tells users whether an element is visible or not
4. Chromium now matches Firefox by firing popstate immediately after URL changes

IOS Edition Changes

• Custom permissions: Multimedia device access can be provided by user for sites which request access to camera and microphone. This can be done by the user through icons displayed in the address bar 
  
• Calendar: Users can now download and add iCalendar (iCal) files to their Calendar
• Duplicate tab:  Removal of duplicate New Tab Page tabs in the background

• Stability and performance improvements.
