Chrome 108 is a web browser developed by Google Inc, available for download in full install version for Windows platforms from legacy sources. This version of Chrome was officially released on 2022-11-29 for public access and a brief summary of important updates and change log pertaining to this edition can be read below.

Google Chrome 108.0.5359.72 was built on Blink 108 layout engine using JavaScript V10 engine version 10.8.168. This version is released for Windows, iOS and android platforms and has many functionality additions apart from number of fixes and improvements. 

• New Viewport Size Units:  Now adaptive UIs can be created easily with the units namely large view port, small view port and dynamic view port. While the large view port measures the viewport size assuming the user agent interfaces are collapsed, the small view port measures it when the interfaces are expanded and the dynamic units adjust automatically in response to the elements displayed or not. And the value will be strictly within the limits of large and small units.
• Color Vector Fonts: Variable fonts are now supported in COLRV1 and this can be used by developers to detect font features with latest experience as well as provide fallback support if not available.
• AccesHandles Synchronous: Filesystem access API  functions like Truncate(), Getsize(), Flush and Close which were asynchronous are now synchronous.
  
• Overflow Behavior: There is a change in overflow on replaced elements in CSS, an advanced warning of a change to CSS behavior that may cause unwanted overflow.
• Federated Credential Management API: A web API for privacy-preserving identity federation which delegates authentication or authorization of an individual (user or entity) to a trusted external party (an identity provider or IdP). The identity provider then allows the individual to sign in to a website (a relying party or RP).
• Media Source Extensions API: This JavaScript API is now available in worker context which can build streams for playback from segments of audio and video elements. It can ultimately benefit the user for customizing the performance and downloadsize depends on the internet connectivity conditions.
