Google Chrome 16 is a web browser developed by Google Inc, available for download in full install version for Windows platforms from legacy sources. This version of Chrome was officially released on 2011-12-13 for public access and a brief summary of important updates and change log pertaining to this edition can be read below.

Google Chrome 16.0.912 was released within 2 months of its earlier stable release 15.0.874, hence there were not much changes found in this version.  In the user interface module, multiple profiles has been set as default, which was earlier an option.

Experimental side tab has been disintegrated in this version. In the Extensions module, now user can opt-in or opt-out from optional permissions which makes user to have more control over the installation of extensions.
