Google Chrome 18 is a web browser developed by Google Inc, available for download in full install version for Windows platforms from legacy sources. This version of Chrome was officially released on 2012-03-28 for public access and a brief summary of important updates and change log pertaining to this edition can be read below.

Google Chrome 18.0.1025 was released with just two notable changes in the multimedia module. Canvas 2D Graphics which was earlier dropped has been brought back with support from Hardware accelerated graphics.

This version eliminated the need for 3D Graphics hardware. Now WebGL graphics library can run through SwiftShader, a software rasterizer program. There were two more builds released from the same version for Android Platforms ARM and x86 about couple of months later.

New tab button has been redesigned with greater visibility and looks brighter now.
