Google Chrome 29 is a web browser developed by Google Inc, available for download in full install version for Windows platforms from legacy sources. This version of Chrome was officially released on 2013-08-20 for public access and a brief summary of important updates and change log pertaining to this edition can be read below.

Google Chrome 29.0.1547 release was built on Blink 537.36 layout engine with updates in all platform versions including Windows, Linux, iOS and Android. 

Windows version was updated with support for new technologies like VP9, TLS 1.2, QUIC and couple of user interface improvements.

VP9 Format Support: Chrome now support VP9 video coding format, which can provide much better video compression ratios comparing to its predecessor VP8.

TLS 1.2 Support:  By extending support Transport Layer Security protocol 1.2, now network security has moved to the next level as TLS 1.2 provide Enhancement in the client's and server's ability to specify which hash and signature algorithms they will accept.

QUIC Support: Chrome's preliminary support  for QUIC transport layer network protocol will improve perceived performance of connection-oriented web applications that are currently using TCP.

UI Improvements: Omnibox suggestions has been improved with search keywords suggestion based on recently visited sites. Now users can reset the profile to the original state
