Google Chrome 40 is a web browser developed by Google Inc, available for download in full install version for Windows platforms from legacy sources. Google Chrome 40.0.2214 was built on Blink 537.36 layout engine with update on transport layer security protocol  and few UI changes.

SSLv3 support disabled: In this version the vulnerable SSLv3 support has been disabled by default, though in the early stable release only the fall back to SSLv3 was disabled.

There were few more changes like info dialog updation for Chrome app on Windows and Linux and A new clock behind/ahead error message.
