Chrome 98 is a web browser developed by Google Inc, available for download in full install version for Windows platforms from legacy sources. This version of Chrome was officially released on 2022-02-01 for public access and a brief summary of important updates and change log pertaining to this edition can be read below.

Google Chrome 98.0.4758.81 was built on Blink 98 layout engine using JavaScript V8 engine version 9.8.177. This version is released for Windows, iOS and android platforms and has many functionality additions apart from number of fixes and improvements. While windows edition has major changes, Android & iOS has limited updates in this release. 

Windows edition Changes

• Sharing a screenshot has been much more easier without the need to depend on any other external applications.  Now you can send the screenshot with the share button placed in the address bar
• Chrome profiles is another new feature added which can let you create multiple profiles like personal, business or even another individuals. This can eliminate the mess-ups of your work and individual browsing.
• Now reopening your last closed tab is much more easier with shortcut keys. Simply enter keys Ctr + Shift + T  which would instantly reopen your last closed tab.
• COLRv1 (Color Gradient Vector Fonts) allows smaller emoji files, as opposed to the scaling limitations of bitmap fonts, which in turn makes the emojis sharper regardless of their size.

• Users can now directly add emojis to the screenshots they take on Google Chrome for Android. However, by default, this feature is disabled.
